Filling earth with justice
Q: If Syed Mohammed Jaunpuri (AHS) has already come and gone, how will the prophecy of the earth being filled with justice be fulfilled, as some Muslims believe this task is reserved for Mehdi-al-Ma'ood (AHS)?
Answer: It's important to note that the concept of absolute justice covering the entire earth has never been fully realized, not during the times of the Prophets, not in the present, nor is it expected to happen before the Day of Judgment.
In Islamic theology, referring to "Al-Arz" (the earth) doesn't necessarily imply the entire globe. Instead, it often pertains to specific regions or areas. The Holy Quran itself frequently refers to "the earth" in the context of particular locations. For example, in Surah 21:71, the verse mentions,
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِى بَـٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
"Then We delivered him, along with Lot, to the land (Al-Arz) We had showered with blessings for all people." This reference is to a particular region believed to be in the vicinity of present-day Syria.
Similarly, in Tareekh-e-Khulfa by Jalaluddin Suyuti, it's documented that Hazrath Umar (RZ) spoke of Umar bin Abdul-Aziz would bring justice to the earth. Here again, "earth" means a specific geographical area.
