Dying on good days

Q: What is the benefit if a person dies on specific days such as Ramadan, Thursday, or Friday? We often hear that the deceased died on a good day. Is there anything in Sunnat or Shariat regarding this?

Answer: There are blessed days, and Allah (SWT) may reward the deceased Muslim with His mercy.

The Messenger of Allah said: "No Muslim dies on the day of Friday, nor the night of Friday, except that Allah protects him from the trials of the grave."  (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1074)

When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of heaven are opened, and the gates of hell are closed, and the devils are chained. (Sahih al-Bukhari 1899)

Allah (SWT) knows best.

Burial in distant locations

Q: If anyone is away from their place (community) and if they die, away from home/away from a community hazeera, what is the ideal way of tajheez O tadfeen? Should they do tadfeen wherever they die, or shall they try to come to our hazeera and wait for at least 4-8 days? Does good or bad Aakhirat depend on where they get buried after death? What is the Sunnah way?

Answer: No, you shouldn’t wait to come for 4-8 days, and get buried in the location where you are. The Aakhirat being good or bad depends on your Iman, and then on your deeds.
